In summer, it's recommended to use air conditioning for cats. Although cats are relatively heat-tolerant, they can still suffer from heatstroke in high temperatures. Therefore, using air conditioning can help cool them down, but it's important to control the temperature, ideally keeping it above 27 degrees Celsius. For very young cats, air conditioning is not recommended. Simply place them in a comfortable location away from direct sunlight and ensure they have plenty of drinking water.
Things to note when raising a cat in the summer:
1. Do not shave your cat's fur completely. Shaving a cat's fur will expose its skin to direct sunlight, causing sunburn and may also make the cat depressed.
2. Do not let your cat get too hot, as this can lead to heatstroke. Symptoms of heatstroke in cats include loss of appetite, elevated body temperature, heavy panting, and unsteady gait.
3. Summer is also a high-incidence season for various parasites. In addition to preventing heatstroke, parasite protection for cats is also very important.
