How to make cats less resistant to bathing:
1. Make thorough preparations. Place all necessary bathing supplies for your cat on your left side beforehand. This will shorten the bathing time.
2. Increase your cat's sense of security during bath time. When bathing in a tub, the water level should not exceed your cat's belly, otherwise, the cat will feel insecure and think it's going to drown, leading to strong resistance to baths. In the shower, you can place a non-slip mat under your cat's feet.
3. When washing, be slow and avoid their eyes, ears, mouth, and nose to prevent water from getting in. Use a low water flow and gently and slowly rinse their bodies. Don't forget to soothe the cat with your hands while bathing; this will help calm them down.
4. After bathing, owners should pet them a lot and reward them. Brush their fur, feed them small dried fish or canned food, etc., to leave them with a good impression of bathing so they won't resist it so much next time.
Cat bathing precautions:
1. When bathing a cat, be aware that cats are afraid of water, so treat them gently.
2. Only cat-specific shampoo must be used; human shampoo should not be used. This is because human and cat skin have different pH levels; human skin is more acidic, while cat skin is more alkaline. Using human shampoo on a cat can damage its skin and cause skin diseases.
3. It is important to dry your cat thoroughly after bathing to prevent them from catching a cold and having a weakened immune system.
