How to understand cat body language:
1. Cats meow primarily to attract attention. A short, high-pitched meow indicates the cat is looking for its owner. A long, loud meow suggests the cat wants to open a window or eat. A cat will meow angrily if it's confined in a carrier or if its tail is stepped on.
2. A cat's body language is expressed through its posture. A cat will be completely relaxed with its eyes half-closed, stretching out its limbs and constantly waving its paws. If the owner gently scratches it at this time, the cat will lie on its back with its paws in the air, allowing you to continue scratching. Sometimes, it will even stomp its feet and purr when satisfied.
3. Cats express their emotions through their ears. When a cat is alert, hunting outdoors, or hearing interesting sounds, it will prick up its ears. When nervous, a cat will twitch its ears. When frightened or angry, a cat will tuck its ears securely behind its head. Sometimes, cats will hiss, bar their teeth, arch their backs, and raise their fur to threaten intruders.
4. Judge a cat's mood by its tail. When a cat runs to greet its owner, it will raise its tail and wag it back and forth. When a cat is relaxed, gently scratching its tail will make it very happy. If the cat's tail twitches violently, it means it is being provoked, and if its tail swings back, the owner should leave immediately.
Characteristics of cat behavior:
1. Solitary living: Cats are very independent and do not like living in groups; they prefer to live alone.
2. Very curious: Cats are very curious and want to chew on everything around them.
3. Stubborn by nature, cats are animals with a strong sense of self-respect. They are not easily threatened and have a strong tendency to be aggressive.
