Cats can eat rice. Rice can provide cats with energy and is very filling. In addition, rice can effectively relieve cats' gastrointestinal discomfort and play a regulating role.
However, it's not recommended to feed them for extended periods or in excessive amounts. Because cats are carnivores, they have difficulty digesting starchy and fibrous foods, and prolonged feeding of such foods can lead to nutritional imbalances. A cat's diet should primarily consist of meat, supplemented with other starchy foods.
Rice may stick to a cat's teeth because it is soft and easily adheres to them. Over time, this can lead to tartar buildup.
It's okay to feed your cat rice occasionally, but feeding it rice alone will make it resistant. You can mix it with canned cat food or meat, and it's best not to give it too much.
