Why cats don't like being held:
1. If you hold a cat incorrectly, making the cat feel uncomfortable and restricted, the cat will try to break free.
2. If a cat is not yet familiar with its owner and remains wary, it will not allow its owner to get close to it. Owners need to interact with their cats more often to strengthen their bond. 
3. If the owner has a scent that the cat dislikes, the cat will also resist being hugged and petted.
4. If the owner has held other pets, the cat will smell the scent of other pets on the owner and become jealous, and will refuse to be held by the owner.
5. When a cat is scared or nervous, it will try to hug you, but it will resist once it calms down.
