Cats can be bathed in winter. Since it's colder in winter, you can reduce the frequency of bathing your cat. It's best to bathe your cat on a sunny midday. You can turn on the air conditioner and adjust the indoor temperature to above 20 degrees Celsius before bathing. The water temperature should ideally be around 39 degrees Celsius. After bathing, you need to dry your cat's fur thoroughly. After drying, you can let your cat sunbathe a little and groom itself. In winter, pay attention to keeping your cat warm, providing good nutrition, boosting immunity, and preventing colds.
Precautions for bathing cats:
1. When bathing your cat, simply dry its head with a damp towel. Cats' eyes, ears, and noses are quite sensitive. Water in the ears can easily cause otitis media, water in the nose can cause choking, and shampoo in the eyes can easily cause conjunctivitis, keratitis, and other eye infections.
2. Do not bathe your cat too frequently. The elasticity of a cat's skin and the luster of its fur are maintained by sebum. Bathing too frequently will cause a large amount of sebum to be lost, resulting in reduced skin elasticity, increased susceptibility to skin diseases, and rough, brittle fur.
3. Never let your cat lick shampoo or bath water, as this could lead to accidental ingestion and poisoning. After using shampoo, rinse your cat thoroughly twice to remove all traces of shampoo.
