Precautions for using hairball remedy for cats:
1. Kittens that are three or four months old usually have already received the appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments, and at this time they can start taking hairball remedy.
2. Hairball remedy is best given on an empty stomach, as cats absorb it more easily when given it on an empty stomach. If given after a meal, the food will mix with the hair, potentially clogging the intestines and making it harder for hairballs to pass. Therefore, it's generally recommended to give it 1-2 hours before meals, that is, on an empty stomach between meals. 
3. The dosage of hairball remedy depends on the cat's age and condition. For example, adult cats should be given about 3 cm of ointment each time, while kittens should be given about 1.5 cm. Depending on the cat's hairball condition, it is generally given for 3 consecutive days a week, or every other day. If the cat has a lot of hair, the dosage and number of days of feeding can be increased appropriately.
4. Hairball remedies also come in cat and dog versions. Owners must pay attention to the difference. Cats should use cat-specific hairball remedies. Also, pay attention to the ingredient list and avoid hairball remedies containing mineral oil.
5. If your cat doesn't like hairball remedy, you can mix it into their cat food or spread it on treats to encourage them to eat it. Try not to force them, as this may create a negative association with the cat.
6. Hairball remedy is not a suitable medication for long-term use. It is best to address the root cause by brushing your cat's fur more often and removing loose hair. This will reduce the amount of hair your cat ingests and alleviate hairballs.
