Symptoms of indigestion in cats:
1. Due to indigestion and insufficient intake of nutrients over a long period of time, chronic weight loss and rough, unruly hair may occur.
2. Symptoms such as mental fatigue and decreased appetite may occur.
3. Long-term, chronic vomiting may occur, and even symptoms of secondary esophagitis may develop.
Solutions for indigestion in cats:
1. If your cat has indigestion, you should withhold food for half a day or a day. However, do not withhold water during this period; instead, give your cat plenty of water to lubricate its intestines, which will make it easier for it to defecate.
2. When a cat has indigestion, stop feeding it cat food and canned food, and switch to other easily digestible liquid or soft foods, such as millet porridge, meat porridge, fish soup with rice, or baby cereal. During this period, feed it small, frequent meals. If the cat is not defecating, reduce its food intake by half and feed it small, frequent meals. Gradually increase the amount of food after the cat starts defecating normally again.
3. When a cat has indigestion, in addition to paying attention to its diet, you also need to feed it some cat-specific stomach-strengthening supplements. It is recommended to feed it some honey water or plain yogurt, as yogurt also contains a lot of beneficial bacteria.
