Turkish Van cats can develop a certain degree of dependence on their owners. They easily adapt to new homes and owners, enjoy walks and play with them, and are quite affectionate. While Turkish Vans are very independent and don't require frequent companionship, they are very possessive of their owners and especially love being held.

1. Turkish Van cats have a personality similar to dogs. They are particularly tenacious and have a very good ability to withstand environmental stress. They often relentlessly snatch objects that interest them, earning them the nickname "dogs that look like cats".
2. Turkish Van cats are intelligent, alert, lively, and love to climb. They have a sweet and melodious meow, are friendly to people, and like to follow people around.
3. Turkish Van cats are relatively independent and have rich emotions, often showing possessiveness towards their owners.
4. Unlike other cats, the Turkish Van cat especially loves playing in the water and will even swim in shallow water. After swimming, the Turkish Van cat can shake off the water very easily.
