The bunny kick is a common behavior kittens exhibit when playing with their siblings. This action primarily occurs when kittens are practicing hunting. If a cat uses the bunny kick on its owner, it usually doesn't indicate real aggression but rather is simply playing or practicing.



However, when you place your hand on the cat's sensitive belly, it might grab your hand and start a rabbit-kick attack. This is usually a warning to let go. If the owner still doesn't release it, the cat may launch a full-blown attack.
