1. Insufficient food intake results in no feces production, but excessive water intake leads to urination without defecation. This can occur, for example, when cats eat pureed or liquid food. 
2. Constipation: When cats are severely constipated, they have difficulty passing stool, but they can urinate normally. Pet owners can observe whether their cats are trying to defecate. If the cat frequently squats in the litter box but doesn't pass stool, then constipation should be considered. If the cat is constipated, pet owners can give it some probiotics, encourage it to drink more water, and feed it easily digestible food.
If your cat still isn't defecating, you can try giving it paraffin oil, which lubricates the intestines, to encourage bowel movements. However, if the constipation is severe, it's best to take it to a veterinary hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
