Silver Shaded cats typically develop their cheeks around 7-8 months of age. When their cheeks develop, their faces become round and very cute and cuddly, which is what many cat owners love. During this period, they need careful care from their owners. Here are some feeding tips.
1. Choose the right cat food
As cat food is the staple food for cats, owners should learn to identify its ingredients. Cat food with excessive additives, salt, or oil content is not recommended as a staple for silver shaded cats. It is suggested to choose low-sodium, eco-friendly cat food, such as Jiaqu cat food, to provide the basic nutrition for your cat.
2. Prepare nutritious meals
Silver shaded cats can't survive on just cat food. So, in addition to a suitable cat food, you can also prepare some nutritious cat meals. You can buy fish, chicken, beef, etc., and mix in nutritional supplements like Yuandu Miao. However, owners must pay attention to the amount of food they feed their cats, and only feed them about 70-80% full.
3. Appropriate exercise
It's not enough to just feed a silver shaded cat well; you also need to encourage it to exercise after meals. Otherwise, lying down after a full meal will waste the nutrients it absorbs. About half an hour after a meal, take your cat for a walk or stroll around the house. This will help your cat better digest and absorb the nutrients from its food, making it easier for it to develop fuller cheeks.
