Currently, both domestically produced and imported vaccines are available on the market. Considering safety and stability, imported vaccines are recommended. Of course, prices will vary, and owners can decide based on their own circumstances. There are also many precautions to take when vaccinating cats. After vaccination, cats should not be bathed immediately to prevent illness.
I. Precautions for vaccination:
1. Health check. Observe the cat's physical condition before vaccination. If there are any abnormalities, wait until the cat improves before vaccination.
2. Newly adopted cats should not be vaccinated immediately.
3. Do not bathe your cat within ten days of vaccination, and avoid letting your cat go outside.
4. Double vaccination should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
5. Regardless of the type of vaccine, it is advisable to consult a doctor first.
6. Kittens must be 6 weeks old or older to receive the vaccine, but it is best to wait until they are 8 weeks or older.
II. Vaccination Procedure:
Kittens 1 and 2 months old and older should receive their first vaccination; the second vaccination should be given 3-4 weeks later; the first vaccination consists of three doses: two feline triple vaccine doses and one rabies vaccine dose. It is best to give the rabies and feline triple vaccine doses separately, with an interval of 5-7 days.
2. Vaccinated cats are protected from vaccination for one year and should be vaccinated annually. Pet owners should keep good records of their cats' vaccinations.
3. Adult cats can receive their first feline triple vaccine.
4. Rabies vaccine, once a year, can be given when the baby is 3-4 months old.
