However, it is generally not recommended to feed kittens over 3 months old and healthy adult cats soaked in water for extended periods, as wet cat food lacks friction and can hinder teething in kittens, potentially leading to double rows of teeth.



Additionally, soft, wet cat food tends to stick to teeth, increasing plaque and tartar buildup and potentially causing stomatitis in cats. Finally, softened cat food is prone to mold and spoilage; if your cat doesn't finish it, clean it up promptly to avoid affecting their digestive health.
