Cats have a belly button. When a cat is born, there is an umbilical cord on its belly. Usually, the mother cat will bite off the umbilical cord herself. After a period of healing, the broken part of the umbilical cord will form a belly button.



A cat's belly button is located in the middle of its lower abdomen, looking like a small white spot. It's not as noticeable as a human's belly button, and because cats have long fur, it's generally not easy to spot. Additionally, because cats have many breasts, many new pet owners mistake their cat's belly button for a breast.
