Which is better, tofu cat litter or bentonite cat litter?
Both tofu cat litter and bentonite cat litter have their own advantages and disadvantages.
Bentonite cat litter has small granules and a soft texture, which cats generally like, and it's also affordable. The downside is that it tends to produce dust, making it unsuitable for cats with respiratory issues. Tofu cat litter has good absorbency, produces less dust, and its ingredients are soluble and edible, so there's no need to worry even if a cat accidentally ingests it. The downside is that the granules are larger, which some cats may not like, and it's also more expensive than bentonite.
Bentonite cat litter is relatively affordable, making it suitable for multi-cat households. Even with frequent litter changes, the expenses for cat owners won't be too high. Tofu cat litter is slightly more expensive, so using it will increase costs if you have multiple cats. Tofu cat litter absorbs odors better and produces less dust, resulting in fresher air throughout the house. 
Cat litter selection tips
Many cat litter brands offer small packages. Choose a few well-known brands and let your cat try them one by one to see which one it prefers. Don't choose blindly; select cat litter that clumps and is easy to scoop. This type of litter is easy to clean and absorbs odors.
Cats generally prefer unscented cat litter, so try to avoid using strongly scented litter. However, owners often prefer scented litter and don't consider the cat's feelings when choosing it. As a result, the cat doesn't like the litter they buy. Remember, cat litter is for cats, and the litter they like is the right one.
If a cat doesn't like the litter you've chosen for it, it will usually exhibit the following behaviors: scratching the litter box, standing outside the litter box, or jumping out of the litter box quickly after entering it, or defecating right next to the litter box.
