Precautions for keeping leopard cats as pets: What should you pay attention to when raising a leopard cat?
1. To raise a Bengal cat, the first step is to build a suitable cattery. The cattery should ideally be located in a well-ventilated area with ample sunlight. It can be kept in either a free-range or caged environment. For free-range keeping, you'll need a spacious cattery and an exercise area for it to move around and play. The cattery can be made of metal frames or a semi-enclosed wooden box. If you choose cage keeping, it's best to use a metal or sturdy plastic cage for easier cleaning. The cage door and latches must be of high quality; otherwise, a clever Bengal cat will open the cage and escape. If you have multiple cats, choose a larger cage; if you have fewer cats, choose a smaller cage. 
2. Besides the cage, food and water bowls are also essential. Choose sturdy containers; these are more durable, less likely to break, and can effectively prevent cats from knocking them over or breaking them while eating or drinking, thus avoiding injury. After the food bowl, prepare a litter box. Plastic litter boxes are common and effective because they are easy to clean, don't easily absorb odors, and are not easily damaged. Fill them with cat litter. Choose cat litter with uniform granules and strong absorbency. Never buy cheap, low-quality cat litter; it's not only ineffective but also difficult to clean.
3. Because leopard cats are naturally active, a suitable scratching post should be provided to promote their growth and development and enhance their resistance. These scratching posts are mostly made of blankets or corrugated cardboard. Place the prepared scratching post in a conspicuous place so the cat can see it at a glance, and the owner should frequently guide them to use it.
4. Bengal cats have a high protein requirement, especially adult ones. A high protein diet makes them stronger, gives them shinier fur, and increases their disease resistance. When buying cat food, choose those with a high protein content and supplement their diet with protein-rich foods such as beef and egg yolks. Feed them twice a day and give them water once or twice a day, ideally with more food in the evening than in the morning. It's best to maintain a consistent feeding schedule, offering cat food at the same time every day, morning and evening.
