Cats are known as natural hunters and are incredibly curious. They won't rest until they've thoroughly investigated anything new. So what if you have other pets at home? I've often seen cats catching fish from the fish tank. Does this mean you can't have other pets if you have a cat? How can you ensure your cat gets along peacefully with other animals? 
1. Let kittens get used to the pets in the house from a young age. If kittens are not trained by their mothers, their hunting skills will not be very good, and they will not have a strong interest in prey. Therefore, it is best to let kittens interact with other small animals from a young age so that they will not use their claws.
2. Allow your cat to interact with small animals under your supervision. As the saying goes, "curiosity killed the cat." Your cat needs to be able to interact with these animals, otherwise, it will become overwhelmed by curiosity, which will only intensify its desire to play with them. Therefore, you should allow your cat to interact with small animals under close supervision. If your cat shows any signs of trying to scratch or harm the animals, stop it immediately. Let your cat become familiar with the scents of the animals first, letting it know that they are family and should not be hurt. Then, allow it several interactions under your supervision until it is completely familiar with the animals' behavior and its curiosity is satisfied. This will reduce its urge to scratch them.
3. Hunting is a cat's nature, but protecting the vulnerable is crucial for owners. A cat's hunting instinct makes them incredibly excited when they see live prey. Their instincts are triggered, and even if they don't intend to eat it, they may unknowingly extend their "evil claws," causing small animals to die tragically. Therefore, protecting the vulnerable is essential for owners. All pets in the home should be kept out of the cat's reach and should not be allowed to roam freely. Fish tanks should be covered with glass, birdcages should be hung in the center of the ceiling, and hamsters should be kept in their own cages.
Ultimately, whether a cat can get along with other small animals depends most on its owner. So, if you decide to raise them together, you, as the owner, will definitely need to put in a lot of effort.
