Under normal circumstances, cats need to receive three vaccinations in their first year, with each vaccination 21 days apart. After that, provided that the antibody concentration is sufficient, an annual booster vaccination is only needed every 11 months. However, if the cat's antibodies are insufficient, a booster vaccination is required until the antibody concentration in the cat's body exceeds the standard concentration.

Currently, the feline vaccines used in China are all trivalent vaccines, which can simultaneously protect cats from three infectious diseases. It is generally recommended that cats older than 8 weeks be vaccinated against these infectious diseases, as cats younger than 8 weeks may still have high levels of maternal antibodies, which could affect the effectiveness of the vaccine. For rabies vaccines, cats must be at least 12 weeks old to be vaccinated, and rabies vaccines generally only require one dose per year.
