Generally, kittens can be weaned around 20 days after birth, but the specific weaning time should be determined based on the mother cat's milk supply and the kitten's individual condition. If the mother cat has a sufficient milk supply and the kitten shows dependence on the mother's milk, weaning can be delayed slightly. However, weaning can be attempted no later than around 60 days of age to avoid malnutrition in the kittens.

When kittens are three weeks old, you can start feeding them some liquid food, preferably with a suitable amount of vitamin A, vitamin D, or cod liver oil. Around the fourth week, you can begin adding steamed buns, rice, minced meat, or cooked eggs.
