Generally, kittens open their eyes around one week after birth, and it takes about one month for them to develop sufficient normal vision. As for walking, kittens usually start trying to crawl around two weeks after birth, but they are completely dependent on their mothers for survival and cannot live independently until they are about eight weeks old.
