If your cat's personality seems to change with the seasons, they may be experiencing seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Sunlight affects melatonin and serotonin levels. This can lead to fatigue, anxiety, and sadness in both humans and cats. Solutions: Pet owners should spend more time with their cats, interacting and playing with them; and try to avoid moving or changing the layout of their home to prevent the cat from feeling overwhelmed.
Cats may become lethargic or ill in winter. Many common diseases can harm cats, such as colds, oral diseases, skin diseases, calcium deficiency (malnutrition), ringworm, and gastroenteritis. Once a cat is sick, its energy will inevitably be affected. Lethargy, listlessness, preferring to lie in its bed, and a lack of exercise are all major symptoms. Solution: When a cat exhibits symptoms such as sneezing, loss of appetite, runny nose, or diarrhea, the owner should take the cat to the vet for examination as soon as possible.
