The history of cats in China can be traced back to the Neolithic Age, around 3000 BC. Cat bones discovered at the Yangshao Culture site in Henan Province indicate that cat ownership was already a custom in China at that time. Over time, cats gradually became one of the most beloved pets in China.

There are many breeds of cats, the most common being Siamese, Persian, American Shorthair, British Shorthair, Russian Blue, and Ragdoll. Each breed has its own unique appearance and personality traits.
