Can cats eat egg yolks?
Cats can eat egg yolks, but not too many, for the following four reasons:
1. Egg yolks are rich in protein and nutrients, which are beneficial for growth;
2. Although egg yolks are nutritious, they are difficult for kittens to digest;
3. Consuming large amounts of egg yolks can also lead to indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, etc. in kittens;
4. Kittens have very sensitive stomachs, and consuming large amounts of egg yolks can be harmful to them.
Egg yolks contain about 98% of the fats in an egg, have twice the mineral content of egg whites, and are rich in vitamins, while egg whites contain only vitamin B. Egg yolks are rich in protein, vitamins, and lecithin, which are beneficial for a cat's brain development and can also nourish the skin; however, they are high in cholesterol, so cats should not consume them in large quantities.
