Kittens aged 21 days are usually able to start trying solid food, but their main source of nutrition is still their mother's milk or formula. At this age, kittens' digestive systems are not yet fully developed, so their diet should consist mainly of easily digestible food and should be fed frequently to avoid indigestion.

When feeding solid food, choose foods suitable for kittens, such as kitten formula or kitten milk replacer, as these foods are usually easier for kittens to digest and absorb. Also, because kittens have small stomachs, they need to be fed small, frequent meals, approximately 4-6 times a day.
