Kittens typically receive their first vaccination at 2 months of age. Their initial immunization should include three doses of a combination vaccine and one rabies vaccine. The combination vaccine is administered every 28 days to prevent infectious diseases in cats, while the rabies vaccine can be given after kittens are 3 months old to prevent rabies.

Some cats may experience loss of appetite or lethargy after vaccination, which is normal and will improve after about a week. If a cat has an allergic reaction to the vaccine and exhibits symptoms such as facial swelling, red and swollen eyelids, or generalized edema, it needs to be taken to a veterinary hospital for desensitization treatment as soon as possible.
