Will having a cat be a problem if I have young children at home?
It's okay to keep a cat if you have children at home.

Cat fur can get stuck in a young child's respiratory tract and may cause coughs, asthma, and other illnesses.
Cats are very gentle. Most cats won't attack you unless provoked, and they can get along very well with children.
