Cats are prone to stress reactions, so owners should pay close attention. Symptoms may include lethargy, loss of appetite, complete loss of appetite, rapid breathing, rapid heartbeat, stiff and trembling limbs, vomiting, diarrhea, abnormal excitement or high tension, seizures, and a tendency to hide in dark places.

If your cat experiences stress, it's best not to disturb it excessively. Provide it with a quiet environment to rest and let it gradually reduce its stress. If you're moving, it's best not to throw away your cat's favorite things, no matter how old they are. Bring them to your new home to help your cat feel more familiar with them.
