Why do cats always follow humans around?
Being followed by a cat could be due to the following reasons:
1. The cat thinks its owner will give it food.
Cats are smart. If they have received kindness from their owners, such as food, warmth, or a house, they will remember it and follow those owners.
Moreover, the owner who makes them follow you must be someone they have been observing for a long time. They are confident that they can get food from the owner, so they will not run away.
2. The cat trusts its owner.
Stray cats are actually always looking for their ideal human. So when they meet such a human, they will try every means to get close to the human, such as following them or going to the human's house to say hello. So as long as the human shows them a little kindness, they will immediately follow the human home.
3. The cat needs help.
When they encounter problems that they really can't solve, they will take the initiative to seek help from their owners. They often seek help from their owners when their kittens are trapped somewhere and can't be rescued, are hungry and cold, are injured, or are pregnant.
