It is not recommended to feed cats raw eggs. Raw eggs may contain bacteria and parasites such as Salmonella. These pathogens pose a threat to the health of cats and can easily cause gastrointestinal discomfort such as diarrhea and vomiting, or even lead to more serious diseases.

In comparison, cooked egg yolks are a more suitable food for cats. Egg yolks are rich in nutrients such as lecithin, which are beneficial to the health of a cat's fur and skin. However, even with cooked eggs, it is not recommended to feed cats too much of the egg white, as the egg white contains avidin, which can destroy vitamin H in a cat's body. Long-term consumption of large amounts may lead to vitamin H deficiency in cats.
