Kittens are generally fed 4-5 times a day. Because kittens are relatively fragile and have weak digestive systems, the principle of feeding them is mainly small, frequent meals, with intervals between meals not exceeding 6 hours. Be careful not to overfeed them at each feeding, as their small bodies cannot handle it. It's best to soak the food to soften it before feeding, and the food temperature should ideally be between 35-38 degrees Celsius. If the kitten doesn't like soaked food, you can feed it dry kitten food. Also, observe the kitten's stool to see if its stomach can tolerate the new food and if it gets diarrhea.
How many times a day should an adult cat eat?
Feed them about twice a day. Adult cats' digestive systems are not as weak as kittens', so it's generally recommended to feed them twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, until they are about 70% full each time. However, if an adult cat has gastrointestinal problems, the feeding principle should be to feed them smaller, more frequent meals, and not to feed them large amounts at each meal. If the cat eats too much at once, or eats something difficult to digest, you can give them an appropriate amount of probiotics to aid digestion. It is also recommended to feed them appropriate amounts of vegetables and fruits regularly to ensure their nutrition is more comprehensive.
