Birman cat personality traits:
1. Gentle and refined, with a melodious call. Its sweet voice makes its owner love it dearly.
2. Gentle and friendly, they crave their owner's affection and enjoy playing with them. They are also very friendly towards other cats. Once they feel safe in a new environment, they will reveal their sweet and kind nature.
3. They are very clean, even a bit obsessive-compulsive. Owners need to change the litter box and clean the cat bed frequently. This will make the Birman cat feel comfortable and at ease.
Daily cleaning and grooming methods for Birman cats:
1. Birman Cat Coat Care. We need to brush our Birman cat's fur daily, especially during shedding season, at least twice a day. Perform a thorough grooming treatment once a week using a fur shampoo. If you're grooming it using the methods described above, you can reduce bathing frequency to twice a month in summer and once a month in winter. Occasionally using conditioner is fine. Remember to use warm water for bathing, and use a cat-specific shampoo. Dry its fur as quickly as possible after bathing.
2. Eye and Ear Care. Regularly check and clean your Birman cat's eyes, and periodically administer antibiotic eye drops. It's best to do this after grooming and bathing. Clean its ears during weekly grooming by directly applying ear cleaning solution into the cat's ears.
