How to clean cat's eye discharge:
1. If the cat's eyes are wet, the owner can gently wipe them clean with a tissue.
2. If the cat's eye discharge is dry, the owner can gently wipe it with a cotton swab moistened with saline solution or use pet-specific wet wipes. The owner must be very gentle and avoid wiping the cat's conjunctiva to prevent injury.
3. Owners can change their cat's diet to a lighter one, such as porridge, fruits and vegetables, and can also mix in an appropriate amount of pet stain remover to help reduce the cat's eye discharge problem.
4. If you see that your cat has a lot of eye discharge, you can give your cat eye drops to improve the eye symptoms and reduce the discharge.
Reasons for excessive eye discharge in cats:
1. Insufficient water intake. In this case, the cat's eye discharge will be reddish-brown, coffee-colored, or dark brown. The cat needs to drink more water.
2. When a cat's eye discharge increases, the most common reason is that the cat is experiencing internal heat, which is closely related to the owner's feeding.
3. When cats have internal heat or severe internal heat, they may also have more eye discharge, which is mostly dry and pasty, and not particularly easy to clean.
