Ragdoll cats under one year old should be dewormed every three months, and those over one year old should be dewormed every six months. If the cat is semi-free-range or frequently taken outside, the deworming frequency should be increased. The cat's bed should be disinfected and sun-dried regularly. If internal parasites are found in the cat, internal deworming should be done every three weeks. At the same time, maintain good hygiene and disinfection of your home to prevent parasite recurrence. Regular deworming is essential for cats; internal and external parasite infections can not only affect a cat's health but also cause skin diseases and other health problems.
Precautions for deworming Ragdoll cats:
1. Cats should not be dewormed immediately after vaccination; a 5-7 day interval is required.
2. Do not deworm cats when they are sick, anemic, or malnourished, as deworming medications have certain side effects, such as vomiting and diarrhea.
3. When deworming a cat, it should be done 3-4 hours after the cat has eaten. After administering the deworming medication, the cat should not eat for 5-6 hours to ensure the medication is effective.
4. Choose deworming medication from reputable brand manufacturers. Always administer deworming medication according to the dosage specified in the instructions.
