Key points for vaccinating your cat:
1. Once your kitten is two months old and in good health, you can take it to get vaccinated. It is essential to ensure your kitten is completely healthy before administering any vaccinations.
2. Generally, cats need to receive three doses of the combination vaccine plus one rabies vaccine. The second dose of the combination vaccine should be given approximately 21 days after the first dose, followed by the third dose of the combination vaccine and the rabies vaccine after another 21-day interval.
3. After each vaccination, carefully observe your cat's condition. If your cat exhibits slight lethargy, drowsiness, or decreased appetite, these are normal vaccine reactions and usually improve within 1-2 days. If these symptoms persist for several days, it's best to consult a veterinarian.
4. After a cat receives a vaccination, it is important to prevent the cat from scratching the injection site, and the cat should not be bathed for a week.
5. After vaccination, keep your cat warm and avoid taking it outside to prevent bacterial or viral infections.
6. Pay attention to feeding your cat after vaccination. Cats may experience a loss of appetite after vaccination. Do not force your cat to eat during this period. Give your cat time to adjust and recover. Do not feed your cat overly greasy food at this time.
