The reason why cats cannot eat salt:
1. Cats should not eat foods with high salt content. Foods with high salt content will put a heavy burden on a cat's kidneys, which can lead to symptoms such as hair loss.
2. If you feed your cat too much salt, the excessive salt will exacerbate the nutritional imbalance of the cat's sebaceous glands, which will cause the cat to lose hair and experience large-scale hair loss.
3. If a cat eats too much salt, the salt cannot be excreted, leaving excess salt in its body. This excess salt can only be excreted through the tongue and eye glands. Over time, eye secretions will accumulate around the cat's eyes, resulting in excessive eye discharge and heavy tear stains.
Dietary restrictions for cats:
1. Milk. Cats have delicate digestive systems, and many are lactose intolerant. Drinking milk can easily cause vomiting and diarrhea.
2. Coffee. Coffee also contains theobromine and caffeine, and like chocolate, it can cause poisoning if consumed. Cats should not eat it.
3. Liver and carrots. Long-term consumption of liver by cats may lead to calcium deficiency, potentially causing rickets in kittens or osteomalacia in adult cats. In severe cases, it can cause coagulation disorders, resulting in acute bleeding that is difficult to stop.
