The reasons why your cat keeps meowing include:
1. When a cat moves to a new living environment, it may feel insecure and maladjusted. In this case, the kitten will keep crying, seeking comfort and security from its owner.
2. Cats may be meowing if they are unwell, such as when they are pregnant, have indigestion, have a fever, are hungry, are cold, are hot, or have other hidden wounds.
3. When a cat enters its heat cycle, it will meow continuously. In this case, the cat's meowing is mainly to attract the opposite sex. If you do not plan to breed your cat, you can have it spayed/neutered at the vet after its heat cycle ends.
4. Cats want to get your attention. After you've been out working all day, it may feel bored or lonely. When you get home, it wants to cuddle with you so you can pay more attention to it and spend time with it.
5. If a cat becomes dissatisfied with a monotonous environment for too long, it is best to install a perch on the glass window so that the cat can jump up and watch the birds flying by and the traffic outside when it is home alone during the day.
6. Cats that are under stress are more likely to express their stress loudly. Cats are sensitive to change, such as a new baby or a new pet. They will feel stressed in new situations. Giving cats more love, attention, and quiet one-on-one time can help reduce their anxiety.
7. As cats age, like humans, they can become confused. If your older cat starts meowing, it's recommended to take it to the vet. Medication may be prescribed to help cats experiencing confusion or disorientation.
